MAC INSTALLATION GUIDE
Install Wali on your Mac
Follow these steps to install and open the app. If macOS cannot verify the developer or blocks the first launch, start with the app-specific permission in System Settings.
Move the app into Applications
- Download the macOS installer from our download center. The Universal package supports both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs.
- Open the downloaded
.dmgfile and drag “瓦译AI同传” into the Applications folder. - After copying finishes, eject the disk image and open the app from Finder → Applications.
Requires macOS 13 or later. Capturing system audio requires macOS 14.2 or later.
Allow the first launch in System Settings
For the app you have confirmed came from our official website, after a developer-verification alert:
- Open the Apple menu → System Settings → Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to Security. If downloads are restricted to the App Store, choose App Store and identified developers. This alone does not approve an unidentified app.
- Find the blocked entry for “瓦译AI同传”, choose Open Anyway, then confirm Open and authenticate when prompted.
- You can subsequently launch the app from Applications or the Dock.
No Open Anyway button? Try opening the app again, then return here. The option is generally available for about an hour after the attempt. Labels vary by macOS version; managed Macs may require administrator assistance.
Apple references: Open apps safely on your Mac and Open an app from an unknown developer.
Optional Terminal method for this app
If the settings method does not work and you have verified the original official download, finish copying and quit the app first. Press ⌘ + Space, search for Terminal, and run these lines one at a time:
xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine "/Applications/瓦译AI同传.app"
open "/Applications/瓦译AI同传.app"
The first line removes the download quarantine attribute from this app and its contents; the second launches it. Successful removal normally produces no output. This does not sign the app or establish its safety. Use it only for a download whose source and integrity you have confirmed.
Keep the quotation marks. For No such file, check the app name and location. Alternatively, type xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine with a trailing space, drag the installed app from Applications into Terminal to insert its actual path, and press Return. For Permission denied or Operation not permitted, use System Settings or contact your administrator.
Keep the existing system protections enabled. There is no need to allow apps from “Anywhere” or disable Gatekeeper or SIP. This optional app-specific command is separate from Apple’s documented installation steps.
Allow the audio permissions you need
After signing in, select your audio source. Allow Microphone access when requested. For computer audio or screen sharing, follow the prompt to System Settings → Privacy & Security and enable “瓦译AI同传” under Screen & System Audio Recording or Screen Recording, depending on your macOS version. Quit and reopen the app if prompted.
Allow Camera access when using video calls. If audio is missing, check the selected input device, system volume, and relevant permissions.
Common questions
What if the app is “damaged” or “will damage your computer”?
A damaged-app message may indicate more than a first-launch restriction. Download again from our website and compare its SHA256 with the download card. Contact support if the message persists. For an explicit malware or “will damage your computer” warning, stop and contact support instead of forcing the app to run.
How do I check the installer?
Type shasum -a 256 in Terminal with a trailing space, drag the downloaded DMG into the window, and press Return. Compare the resulting 64-character checksum with the SHA256 on the official download card. They must match exactly.
Will I need these steps after an update?
Quit the app before replacing it in Applications with the new version. A newly downloaded package may trigger another first-launch check; follow the steps above if needed.
